Dr Sankar has unique experience of having worked in best healthcare systems in the world including Cleveland Clinic, world’s best Cardiothoracic Centre.

Dr Sankar’s contributions to cardiovascular medicine were recognised by world premier cardiology societies and was awarded with prestigious Fellowship degrees by European Society of Cardiology (FESC in 2013) and recently by American College of Cardiology (FACC in 2016). He was awarded Fellow of Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 2013 and he is Royal College MRCP PACES Examiner.

Dr Sankar has held various leadership roles in developing Cardiac Imaging services, Grown-up Congenital Heart Disease Service and Clinical Governance & Audit lead. He has management certification from Harvard Business School, Boston USA and Institute of Healthcare Improvement certification from Institute of Healthcare Improvement, USA.
